Lawn Twister

Fun DIY outdoor game for parties! Rules are the same as regular Twister game: spin, follow spinner directions for placing hands and feet on different colored circles. The last person standing wins!

What you need:

  • (4) cans of Krylon Indoor Outdoor spray paint in colors of your choice (I used yellow, red, blue and green)
  • Cardboard
  • Stencil
  • Markers
  • Upholstery tack
  • Duct tape

How and How Long:

  1. Using a stencil (trace a dinner plate on a piece of paper), spray paint a pattern of circles directly onto a flat area of the lawn, spacing about 6" apart. Let dry.
  2. Create a spinner from the center circle piece of the cardboard: Using a ruler and markers, divide the circle into 16 pie shapes. Label each pie with one of the colors used in the painted lawn circles (4 times each).
  3. On a large rectangle/square piece of cardboard, use a marker to divide into 4 spaces. Trace the circle spinner in the middle. In the left over space of each square, label right foot, left foot, right hand, left hand.
  4. Cut out an arrow using a thinner cardboard. Punch a hole in the flat end of the arrow.
  5. Attach arrow to center of circle. Layer onto the center of the rectangle cardboard using an upholstery tack.
  6. Protect from pinpricks using duct tape on the back. Time to play!
Approximate time: 1 hour.

What it Costs:

Cost is $20 for four cans of spray paint. We created spinner using materials we had at home.
