Bright and Fun Yellow Lamps

I liked the bases of these lamps, but the shade on them is a super light yellow/beige color that I tried to make work in my stepson's room. They still needed a little pop to them because well, I wanted yellow; not pale yellow...I wanted bright, fun, “hello look at me yellow lamps” yellow!

What you need:

  • (1) can of Krylon Sun Yellow Indoor/Outdoor spray paint
  • Old lampshades
  • Painter's tape

How and How Long:

  1. I got a wild hair the other day and decided to spray paint these lamp shades! I’ve never spray painted fabric, but everyone else does it so why not? I looked on the can to make sure it was safe for fabric too. :)
  2. I taped the inside of the lampshades (to keep inside white). Then I sprayed!
  3. What a beautiful shade of yellow. I LOOOOOVE Krylon spray paint. Their spray nozzle totally rocks, rotates, and sprays perfectly and evenly. And your fingers don’t ever hurt or get tired. Amazing stuff.
  4. And after I painted them, here they are all bright and sunny. Not sad and pathetic like they were.
