Teacher Supplies Garden


  Supplies in recycled glass jars that store easily amidst a garden of paper flowers "planted" in a recycled clementine crate.

What you need:

  • (1) can Krylon Magnetic Paint
  • (1) can Krylon Glitterblast (color of your choice)
  • (1) can Krylon Glitterblast Clear Sealer
  • (1) Clementine Crate
  • Assorted glass jars from recycling bin
  • Floral foam
  • Floral tape
  • Floral picks
  • Floral wire
  • E-6000 Adhesive
  • Mod-Podge
  • Core'dinations Card Stock
  • Children's Books
  • Assorted buttons
  • Sizzix Die Cutting Machine or Flower Punches
  • Craft Sticks
  • White Acrylic paint
  • Pro-Mag Magnet Board (Optional)

How and How Long:

  1. Paint Clementine Box with Krylon Magnetic Paint.
  2. Paint Glass Jars with Krylon Glitterblast. Seal with Krylon Glitterblast Clear Sealer.
  3. Embellish crate with images. Adhere with Mod Podge.
  4. Adhere brick of floral foam to bottom of crate with E-6000.
  5. Cut and assemble paper flowers, insert into foam.
  6. Create Grass out of card stock and assemble picket fence out of craft sticks. Use hot glue or E-6000 to adhere to foam.
  7. Create tags for jars attach with ribbon and raffia.
  8. Fill jars with Teacher supplies ie. Sharpies, Pens, Pencils etc....place in crate.
  9. (Optional) Create your own magnets from childs drawings or images from Children's Books by adhering to magnet board with Mod Podge. Cut and stick around crate.

Approximate project time: 2 hours.
