Canning Jar Vases


  Turn simple glass jars into fabulous vases for a special event.

What you need:

  • (1) can Krylon Glitter Blast Confetti Pop
  • (1) can Krylon Clear Sealer 
  • Assorted glass jars (I used quart, pint, half-pint)
  • (3) Stretchy beaded bracelets
  • (3) Word charms
  • (1) 12" jewelry chain
  • (6) Jump-rings

How and How Long:

  1. Thoroughly wash and dry jars.
  2. Spray jars with Krylon Glitter Blast in Confetti Pop; allow to dry completely.
  3. Spray jars with Krylon Clear Sealer.
  4. Determine desired length of chain for each jar; cut chain with jewelry pliers.
  5. With jump-ring and jewelry pliers, attach word charm to one end of the chain. With another jump-ring, attach the opposite end of chain to stretchy bracelet.
  6. Position bracelet over the top of each jar, with charm toward the front.
  7. Fill jars with arrangements of flowers.

Approximate project time: 1 hour.
