Giant NES Controller Table


  Build your own giant (and functional!) Nintendo® Entertainment System controller table.

What you need:

Hardware:

  • (14) Bolt/Screw
  • (24) Washers
  • (8) Switches
  • (4-6) Spade terminals 
  • (30+) 5 pin plug (both male and female)
  • (1) P – Clamps - a bunch Locking Nuts
  • (14) Small Springs (must fit over bolts)
  • (10) 14 Non-Skid Protectors (felt) 
  • (14+) “Piano” Style Hinges - 2 ft
  • At least Different Colour Wires 
  • (1) NES Controller
  • Various amounts and sizes of screws

The Controller:

  • (1) 48 x 21 in. 
  • (2) 48 x 3 ½ in. ( ¾ in. MDF )
  • (2) 20 x 3 ½ in. ( ½ in. MDF )
  • (1) 48 x 21 in.( ½ in. MDF )
  • (1) 47 x 20 in.( 1/8 in. MDF )
  • (1) ( 1/8 in. MDF )

The Trunk:

  • (2) 48 x 16 in. (all ½ in. MDF)
  • (2) 20 x 16 in.
  • (2) 47 x 20 in.
  • (2) 47 x 2 in.
  • (2) 19 x 2 in.
  • (2) 48 x 3 ½ in.

How and How Long:

  1. Make a trunk out of the Board
  2. Cut out the NES controller patterns.
  3. Make NES buttons
  4. Wire up the controller to an old smaller NES controller
  5. Attach the box together with hardware
  6. Spray paint the box with Krylon Paint!
