Decorative Flower


  Can art has been a fascination of mine because it's amazing what people can create from a soda can. You can find soda can roofing on bird houses, wind vanes, and all sorts. Also, I'm a soda fiend! This decorative flower is made from aluminum cans.

What you need:

  • Soda Can (cleaned and dried)
  • Your favorite Krylon Spray Paint
  • Scissors (that you don't care about)
  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Cotton Ball
For a yard art flower, you will additionally need:
  • Glue Gun
  • Metal Rod

For a present decoration flower, you will additionally need:

  • Ribbon
  • Wrapped Present

For a seed packet, you will additionally need:

  • Seed
  • Gift Tag with String

How and How Long:

  1. Create the center of the flower.
  2. Make the pedals by cutting down the sides of the can.
  3. Paint the can with Krylon spray paints.
  4. To make a yard art flower: attach a metal rod.
  5. To make a present decoration: tie the flower with a ribbon around the present.
  6. To make a seed packet: pour seeds in to the middle of flower.
Approximate project time: depending on project, 1 hour.
