Dollar Tree Mirror Revamp


  Using a few very inexpensive items, you can have a beautiful vanity mirror in no time!

What you need:

  • (1) can of Krylon spray paint in Dover
  • (1) Dollar Tree oval mirror
  • (1) Dollare Tree glass taper candle stick
  • Gorilla glue
  • 3-inch wood disk
  • White satin ribbon
  • Newspaper

How and How Long:

  1. Prepare your work surface with newspaper.
  2. Cover the glass of the mirror with a cut to fit piece of newspaper.
  3. Place your mirror and candle stick and wood disk on the newspaper.
  4. Following directions on the can of spray paint, spray the candle stick, wood disk and the mirror frame. Allow to dry.
  5. Give the candle stick another coat of spray paint as well as the wood disk if needed. {You can spray the other side of the wood disck if desired}. You may want to leave the frame as is, or add another coat of paint.
  6. When all pieces are completely dry, take your 3 inch round wood disk and apply glue to the area the same size as the candle stick holder. Place the wood disk down on top of the candle stick and apply pressure for a few seconds. Allow to dry.
  7. Remove paper from mirror.
  8. Set the mirror on top of the candle stick PRIOR to using glue to get an idea of placement.
  9. Apply glue to all the areas of the fram that will come in contact with the wood disk.
  10. Leave to dry for a couple of hours or as directed by glue manufacturer.
  11. Cut off the desired length of ribbon and tie it around the middle of the mirror where you joined the two pieces together.
Approximate project time: 2-3 hours.
