Sassy Sites Chandelier Makeover


  I found this old chandelier in my friend's garage and she said,"Take it!" Yipee!! It started out UGLY and ended up gorgeous! With a little bit of spray paint and some new lamp shades, this beauty hangs proudly in my home!

What you need:

  • (1) can of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Spray Paint in Gloss Black
  • Sandpaper
  • New lamp shades

How and How Long:

  1. Throw away old lamp shades!
  2. Clean dust off the chandelier.
  3. Use Krylon spray paint to cover the entire area. Apply two coats if desired.
  4. Use sandpaper on the arms to give fixture a distressed look.
  5. Put new lamp shades on.
  6. Hang chandelier and enjoy!
Approximate project time: 1 hour.

Cost is $30, for 2 cans of Krylon paint, and 6 new lamp shades.
