Exterior Light Fixture


  Exterior lighting showcases the beauty of your home. Make sure that your light fixtures are just as attractive by refreshing them with a coat of Krylon Outdoor Spaces.

What you need:

  • 1 can Krylon Outdoor Spaces Metallic Finish
  • Screwdriver
  • Drop cloth or newspaper
  • Medium Grit Sandpaper
  • Mild detergent and water
  • Tack Cloth or Lint Free Rag
  • Masking tape

How and How Long:

  1. Turn off power to the lights prevent risk of electrical shock. Unscrew the plate that protects the wires. Unwire the fixture to detach it from the house.
  2. Place fixture on a work surface covered with newspaper or a drop cloth. Remove the light bulb. Remove or mask off any fixture parts that do not require painting. Wrap wires with masking tape to protect from overspray.
  3. Clean all pieces thoroughly with a mild detergent and water. When dry, lightly sand any glossy or rough spots and remove dust with the tack cloth or lint free rag.
  4. Following the directions on the can, spray several light coats of Outdoor Spaces Metallic. Make sure to evenly apply paint to the entire fixture. Let dry
  5. Once paint is completely dry, reattach the parts and reconnect the lightning fixture.
  6. Turn power back on.
