Shiny Brass Lamp Makeover


  I took a shiny brass lamp I had and transformed it into silver goodness! For the complete tutorial with shade see: http://www.thecountrychiccottage.net/2011/03/lamp-makeover.html.

What you need:

  • (1) can Krylon Primer Hammered Silver spray paint
  • Lamp
  • Sandpaper
  • Masking Tape

How and How Long:

  1. Remove shade and Lightly sand the main piece of the lamp.
  2. Wash and dry the lamp completely.
  3. Spray with spray primer as desired.
  4. Let paint dry.
  5. Spray with Krylon Hammered Silver Spray Paint.
  6. Let dry and admire your work!
Approximate project time: 30 minutes.

Cost is $8, for two cans of paint; I already had the lamp and other supplies!
