Baseball Lamp and Shade


  I turned a thrift store lamp and shade into a great baseball lamp and shade! My inspiration came from The Pottery Barn. Perfect for any boy's room! For full details, visit: http://www.thecountrychiccottage.net/2011/03/pottery-barn-knock-off-baseball-lamp.html

What you need:

  • (1) can Krylon Navy Blue spray paint
  • (1) can Krylon White spray paint
  • Lamp, make sure it is the correct shape (it took me a while to find mine!)
  • Red Sharpie
  • Red Duct Tape
  • Lousiville Slugger stencil (or free hand it!)
  • Masking tape

How and How Long:

  1. Use masking tape on cord and other parts of lamp that you do not wnat painted.
  2. Spray paint the lamp base navy blue.
  3. Paint shade with spray paint if it is not already the shade of white that you like.
  4. Use sharpie to make baseball lines on lamp shade.
  5. Use red duct tape to make grip on bat lamp.
  6. Use stencil (or free hand) and white craft paint to put your bat logo on.
Approximate project time: 2 hours.
