What you need:

• 2 cans Krylon High Heat and Radiator Paint in desired color
• Drop cloth
• Wire brush or chemical rust remover
• Medium grit sandpaper
• Masking Tape
• Tack cloth

How and How Long:

1. Turn off the power on the radiator. Before you continue, allow radiator and hot water pipes to cool completely.
2. Remove any loose rust with a wire brush, sandpaper or chemical rust remover. Lightly sand glossy surface and remove dust with a tack cloth. Make sure radiator is clean and dry before painting.
3. Cover surrounding area with a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Open doors and/or windows to provide good ventilation.
4. Mask off any areas you don't want to spray, like valves or fittings.
5. Following the instructions on the can, spray Krylon High Heat and Radiator Paint in a sweeping motion beginning off the surface and continuing off other side. Apply multiple thin coats to help avoid runs and drips. Let dry.
6. Let paint dry completely before running the radiator.

Approximate project time: 1.5 - 2 hours
